Rob Lever, born on 5th November 1987, in the bucolic surrounds of Dorchester, was no prodigious cricketing talent—at least not at first glance. His introduction to cricket was by sheer happenstance, courtesy of a local coach who spotted him bowling cork balls in a makeshift net at a neighbourhood fair.
