Abdul Rahim

Born on the first day of the new millennium, Abdul Rahim emerged from the bustling streets of Lahore with a cricket ball in hand and a determined gaze. From a young age, Abdul’s natural talent for bowling was evident. Playing in local alleys and school grounds, he was soon recognised for his adaptable play style. As a bowler, he possessed an uncanny ability to adapt. Seam, swing, or spin – Abdul had mastered it all by his late teens, leaving batsmen scratching their heads.

By the age of 15, Abdul had already secured his place in the regional under-19 team, swiftly moving up the ranks owing to his consistent ability to outsmart opponents. His professional debut came at the tender age of 19, when he was selected for Lahore’s first-class cricket team. Within just a few matches, he had already begun to establish a reputation, not only for his wicket-taking prowess but also for his unexpected versatility at the crease with the bat. Though primarily a bowler, his adaptable batting approach meant he often turned games around.

Abdul’s career was dotted with significant achievements. His remarkable ten-wicket haul against Karachi in 2020, a feat that etched his name into the annals of domestic cricket history, is still recounted with awe.
