Born on 1st January 2000 in a quaint town of Bengaluru, Ashwanth Valthapa's journey into cricket seemed destined from day one. As a young boy, he was often found wielding a bat larger than himself, trying to emulate his heroes by swinging fiercely at every pebble and tennis ball in sight.
