Born on 29th October 2006 in Uganda, Christopher Kidega has swiftly carved out an impressive niche within the cricketing world as an allrounder. From a young age, cricket pulsed through the veins of this soft-spoken yet fiercely determined Ugandan. Growing up in the vibrant streets of Kampala, Kidega honed his skills amid improvised matches with friends, turning the crowded playgrounds into makeshift cricket pitches and the ball always at his command.

Christopher’s early promise didn't go unnoticed. By age 12, he was part of the national age-group squads, where his right-handed batting flair and right-arm fast-medium bowling began to catch the eye. His unique blend of patience and aggression with the bat, coupled with a knack for generating deceptive pace and swing with the ball, soon led him to the professional arena.

His professional debut came at age 16 for Uganda’s national team against Kenya in a regional T20 tournament. His debut was nothing short of sensational, as he bagged three wickets and scored a crucial half-century, steering Uganda to a memorable victory. Among his significant achievements, the highlight has probably been his pivotal role in Uganda’s triumph at the ICC World Cricket League Division Three in 2023. Not only did he finish as the tournament's leading wicket-taker, but his crucial innings in the final against Malaysia, marked by a blend of caution and artistry, sealed the championship for Uganda.
