Haqmal Arya was born on 3rd February 1999, in the vibrant city of Lahore, Pakistan, where cricket is both a pastime and a passion. From the dusty lanes of his local neighbourhood to the lush green fields of international stadiums, Arya's journey is a testament to his resilience and talent.

As a young boy, Arya found his calling with a tennis ball, watching and imitating the movements of his cricketing heroes. It wasn't long before he distinguished himself with his right-hand batting prowess and deft right-arm fast-medium bowling. Recognised for his exceptional skill and unwavering determination, Arya's early performances in local leagues earmarked him as one for the future, catching the eye of professional scouts.

He made his professional debut at the tender age of 18, with the domestic T20 team, Lahore Leopards. Almost instantly, Arya became a central figure, with his all-round capabilities setting him apart. His ability to read the game and contribute both with bat and ball became apparent during an unforgettable match in his debut season where he took four wickets and scored a rapid fifty to seal victory against a formidable Karachi Kings team.

Haqmal Arya’s rise continued unabated, and he soon found himself donning the national colours. His notable performances include a splendid showing in the 2021 Asia Cup, where Pakistan lifted the trophy. Arya was instrumental in the campaign, particularly in the final where he delivered a thrilling spell of quick, swinging deliveries that dismantled the Indian batting line-up, cementing his status as a hero of the tournament.
