Hathersage Cricket Club

Welcome to Hathersage Cricket Club, a historic and thriving club located in the heart of Derbyshire's beautiful Hope Valley. With a rich history that spans over 200 years, our club has a strong presence in the community and a focus on both the past and the future.

One of our proudest achievements was reaching the National Village Cup semi-finals in 2007, showcasing our talent and determination on a national stage. But we are not just about past glories; we have our sights set firmly on the future. In 2022, both our Saturday teams achieved success by winning their divisions, and we are excited to embark on a new chapter in the 2023 season as we join the Derbyshire County Cricket League for the first time.

Our senior teams, the 1st XI and the 2nd XI, will be competing in Division 5 North and Division 8 North, respectively. Our home ground, Baulk Lane, is a picturesque setting that welcomes visiting teams and cricket enthusiasts from April to September. We also have a thriving youth program, with the All Stars program for 5-8 year olds and the Dynamos Cricket program for 8-11 year olds, providing a fun-filled introduction to the game.

At Hathersage Cricket Club, we pride ourselves on being a friendly, sociable, and inclusive club. We welcome players of all ages and abilities, and we encourage individuals who want to be involved in a non-playing capacity, such as coaches, umpires, and scorers, to join us. We also encourage parents to get involved off the field, fostering a strong sense of community and camaraderie.

Beyond the cricket field, we value the social aspect of the game and aim to create a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere for our members. Throughout the year, we organize various social events, fostering connections and friendships among our members.
