Blackwood Town Cricket Club and Pontllanfraith Cricket Club have recently merged, combining their skills, resources, and passion to form one strong and united club. This merger has allowed us to create a club that offers even more opportunities for players of all ages and abilities.

On Saturdays, we run three teams: Blackwood 1st and 2nd XIs, who play their matches at the Highfields ground located at the top of Gordon Road. The ground is conveniently situated just a short walk away from the town center. Our 3rd XI, named Pontllanfraith (BTCC 3rd XI), will play at Islwyn Park. All three teams compete in the prestigious South East Wales Cricket League, providing the perfect platform for players to showcase their skills and develop their game.

To help our players improve and reach their full potential, we offer regular training sessions. Starting from the first week of April, our Thursday evening training sessions commence at 6pm at the Highfields ground in Blackwood. These sessions are open to all, and we encourage new players to come along and join in the fun.

In addition to our men's teams, we are proud to have a vibrant Ladies Section. We were the first club in Wales to organize a Ladies Softball tournament, and we continue to have an active Ladies Team in 2020. Women of all ages and abilities are welcome to join our Ladies Section and enjoy the exciting world of cricket.
