Welcome to Blaydon CC, a friendly, sociable, and inclusive cricket club located in the west of Gateshead, in the village of Winlaton. Whether you are a seasoned player or have never picked up a cricket bat before, we would love to hear from you and have you join our club.

Our home ground, Denefield, is nestled in the picturesque village of Winlaton, just “up the bank” from Blaydon. Steeped in cricketing history, Winlaton was once the home of the famous “Blaydon Races,” adding a touch of nostalgia to our club’s location.

We take pride in our competitive spirit and currently field two senior teams, the 1st and 2nd XIs, who compete in the Northumberland & Tyneside Cricket League. Our junior division is also thriving, with five junior sides that participate in the Durham Cricket Board Junior Division. For those seeking a more relaxed game, our Sunday Development XI plays in the Hetton Lyons Sunday League.

At Blaydon CC, we value community and are always on the lookout for new members, both on and off the field. Whether you’re a passionate player or simply enjoy the social aspect of cricket, we would love to welcome you into our club. Our regular club functions and social events provide ample opportunity to connect with fellow cricket enthusiasts and forge lasting friendships.
