Welcome to Bromyard Cricket Club, a friendly and inclusive club located in the heart of Herefordshire. With a rich history dating back to the 1930s, our club has grown to become one of the leading clubs in the county.

Our journey began in the 1930s when Bromyard Cricket Club was reformed after the Second World War. We initially played on the Grammar School ground at Broadbridge until 1954. Seeking a ground of our own, we purchased two damson orchards at Flaggoners Green. With the dedication of our members, the ground was transformed over four years, with a pitch laid down and the outfield seeded. In 1958, our new ground was officially opened by Sir Archer Baldwin, MP.

Over the years, Bromyard Cricket Club has continuously improved its facilities. In 1981, a new Clubhouse was built, providing a comfortable and welcoming space for members and visitors. Today, the club boasts excellent social events throughout the year, including summer barbecues and winter darts and crib teams.

On the field, Bromyard Cricket Club competes in the Worcestershire County League (WCL), one of the most competitive leagues in the country. Our 1st XI plays in the WCL Premier Division, alongside Brockhampton, representing the highest standard of cricket in Herefordshire. We also field 2nd and 3rd XIs in the WCL Division 6 and Division 8 South respectively.

The club has had the privilege of hosting benefit matches featuring renowned international players such as Alvin Kallicharan, Mike Proctor, and Glenn Turner. In addition, we have had first-class cricketers representing our club, including Josh Tongue and Dinusha Fernando.

Our junior section is a testament to our commitment to nurturing young talent. We have Under 11, Under 13, and Under 15 teams competing in the Herefordshire Junior Leagues. Our juniors train on Friday nights during the season, fostering a love for cricket from a young age.
