Welcome to Catford and Cyphers CC
Welcome to Catford and Cyphers Cricket Club, a place where cricket enthusiasts come together to enjoy the game. Our club prides itself on being friendly, sociable, and inclusive, welcoming players of all ages and abilities.
Located in the heart of South East London, our club has a rich history that spans over 120 years. It all began with the amalgamation of three local clubs – Catford CC, Cyphers CC, and Forest Hill CC. This merger brought together a wealth of cricketing talent and laid the foundation for the strong and successful club that we are today.
At Catford and Cyphers CC, we have an impressive range of teams to cater to the diverse skills and preferences of our members. Currently, we field six senior sides, with four playing on Saturdays and two playing on Sundays. Our teams participate in various leagues, including the prestigious Kent Cricket League, the Kent Regional Cricket League, and the Aero Development League. Additionally, we organize friendly fixtures throughout the season, allowing players to enjoy the sport in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.
We are proud of our commitment to inclusivity and diversity. Whether you are a seasoned cricketer or a beginner looking to learn the ropes, our club warmly welcomes you. Our experienced coaches and club members are always on hand to offer guidance and support, helping you develop your skills and grow as a player.
Beyond the cricket field, Catford and Cyphers CC also offers a vibrant social scene. From post-match gatherings to club events and fundraisers, there is always something happening to bring our members together and foster a sense of camaraderie among the club’s extended family.
If you are interested in joining our cricket club, or if you have any queries, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us. We are always happy to hear from new players and would be delighted to welcome you into the Catford and Cyphers CC community.
