Welcome to Charlton Kings CC
Welcome to Charlton Kings Cricket Club, a friendly community club located on the outskirts of Cheltenham. We are proud to have been designated a Focus Club by the ECB, making us a central hub for cricket development within our community, with a particular emphasis on children and young people.
At Charlton Kings CC, we are committed to delivering the highest quality cricket in a safe and child-friendly environment. Our ClubMark accreditation showcases our dedication to best practices and ensures that all players, regardless of age, can enjoy the sport in a supportive setting.
Our senior section boasts a formidable lineup, consisting of four men’s teams that compete on Saturdays, two Midweek League teams, and a women’s team. Training sessions are held weekly, with men’s training taking place every Thursday at 6pm, and women’s training held every Wednesday at the same time.
In the thrilling 2021 season, our 1st XI emerged victorious in the Gloucestershire Division 1, earning them a coveted spot in the WEPL Gloucestershire league. Additionally, our 1st XI clinched the Gloucestershire Men’s County Trophy in both 2015 and 2019. Furthermore, our Women’s XI proved their prowess by taking home the title in the Cotswold District Cricket Association’s Women’s League in 2018, 2019, and 2021.
Our youth section is the heart of our club, and we take immense pride in developing and nurturing the talent of young cricketers. We have teams for children in various age groups, including U9, U11, U13, U15, U17, and U19. It is through our comprehensive youth program that we prepare these promising players to transition seamlessly into our senior sides.
If you are an adult looking to join our cricket club, we warmly invite you to get in touch with our chairman, Kim Parsely, at kimparsley92@gmail.com, or our secretary, Vik Singh, at ckcc1885@gmail.com. We believe that cricket brings people together, and we are thrilled to welcome new members into our vibrant and inclusive community at Charlton Kings CC.
