Welcome to Dumbleton Cricket Club, home to one of the most stunning cricket grounds in the country. Nestled in picturesque parkland and surrounded by majestic trees, our club offers a delightful setting for playing and watching cricket. With top-notch facilities and unwavering support, Dumbleton CCDumbleton is truly a haven for cricket enthusiasts.
We take immense pride in our adult teams, consisting of six competitive sides. Our 1st XI is a force to be reckoned with, participating in the Glos Division – the prestigious third tier of the West of England Premier League. Additionally, our Women's XI will showcase their skills in the inaugural WEPL Premier League in 2023, competing against the best teams from Glos, Somerset, and Wiltshire. They also participate in the local Cotswold Women's League. For those seeking a more relaxed cricket experience, we offer full seasons of friendly Sunday and Midweek Social Cricket, catering to players of all abilities.
The crowning glory of our achievements is the title of National Village Cup Champions, earned after a remarkable triumph at Lord's on 18th September. After half a century of striving, we defeated the reigning champions, Calmore Sports from Hampshire, securing our place in history.
Dumbleton Cricket Club is equally passionate about nurturing young talent. Our comprehensive junior program encompasses coaching and matches for children aged 5-19. From the All Stars program for young enthusiasts to the U19 team, we foster the development of cricket skills and provide opportunities for aspiring cricketers. We are particularly proud of our three girls' teams, competing at the U11, U13, and U15 levels. A dedicated team of over 30 coaches and volunteers ensures that every child, regardless of gender, ethnicity, or ability, receives equal opportunities and support. Our popular Friday night coaching sessions during the season are open to all young players.
Our club boasts an impressive representation of county, county development, and north zone players across the U10 to U18 age groups. Two of our talented young cricketers have even had the honor of representing England as part of the Young Lions team, while Katie Jones has showcased her skills at Western Storm. Additionally, Danielle proudly represents England Women.
In our Youth section, we have achieved remarkable success. Our U16 boys' team has secured the County Champions title for three consecutive years, and our 15 girls' team reached the finals of the South West T20 cup. Visit our 'Youth' tab for more information on these accomplishments.
To enhance your cricketing experience, we offer a modern pavilion, a well-stocked bar, and the best teas for miles around. Our multi-generational supporter base and lively social atmosphere create a vibrant community at Dumbleton. Whether you are a player or a spectator, experiencing cricket at Dumbleton is an extraordinary and unforgettable affair.
