Welcome to Ellesmere Cricket Club! Established in 1858, we are proud to be one of the oldest cricket clubs in Shropshire. Our club is known for its friendly and sociable atmosphere, making it the perfect place for cricket enthusiasts of all ages and abilities.

When you join Ellesmere CC, you become part of a community that values inclusivity and forward thinking. We believe that cricket should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or skill level. Our club is located in the charming market town of Ellesmere, nestled in the heart of North Shropshire. Our picturesque cricket ground is surrounded by the beautiful Shropshire Union Canal, rolling countryside, and a former Castle Hill.

At Ellesmere CC, we offer a range of opportunities for players of different ages and genders. Our senior teams, including the 1st XI SCCL Div2, 2nd XI SCCL Div 7, and Midweek SEL Div 3, train on Fridays from 18:30 to 20:00. We also have a thriving ladies’ team, which participates in the SCB Div1, SCB Softball festivals, and SCB Indoor Winter League. Their training sessions take place on Thursdays from 18:30 to 20:00.

Even if you don’t play cricket, you are always welcome to join us as a non-playing member. Feel free to visit our club and make use of our fully licensed bar. It’s the perfect opportunity to relax, socialize, and soak in the vibrant atmosphere while enjoying the excitement of a cricket match.
