Welcome to Hambledon Cricket Club, known affectionately as the “Cradle of Cricket”. With a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1750, our club has been a dominant force in the cricket world. Situated at the picturesque Ridge Meadow, which has been our home since the 1780s, we offer a tranquil setting for members to enjoy the sport they love.

As one of the oldest cricket clubs in the world, Hambledon CC prides itself on its heritage. Throughout the decades, we have nurtured numerous talented players who have gone on to achieve greatness in the sport. Our club has become a symbol of tradition, excellence, and passion for cricket.

On Saturdays, our three adult league teams compete against other local clubs, bringing together skilled players from various backgrounds. These matches not only showcase our commitment to the sport but also foster a sense of camaraderie and healthy competition within the team.

In addition to league fixtures, we engage in friendly matches on Sundays, providing an opportunity for players of all skill levels to enjoy a more relaxed and social type of cricket. There are even occasional mid-week games to accommodate the enthusiasts who simply can’t get enough of the sport.

Our dedication to cricket extends beyond the adult teams, as Hambledon CC boasts a thriving Colts section. With over 150 junior playing members, we are committed to nurturing the next generation of cricket stars. We provide a safe and supportive environment for young players to develop their skills, learn sportsmanship, and forge life-long friendships with fellow cricketers.
