Welcome to Kirkby Portland Cricket Club, a renowned club with a rich history in cricket. Situated on Nuncargate Road in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, our club proudly participates in the South Notts, Mansfield, and East Midlands Women’s Leagues.

One of our most notable claims to fame is our association with Harold Larwood, a former English cricketer who achieved great success during his career. Serving as an inspiration to our members, Larwood has left an indelible mark on the club and its legacy.

At Kirkby Portland Cricket Club, we provide opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels. Our club currently fields six adult teams, allowing members to participate in matches and showcase their cricketing talents. On Saturdays, we have three teams competing in the Gunn & Moore South Notts Cricket League, offering a competitive and exhilarating cricketing experience. Additionally, we have one team in the Mansfield & District Cricket League and two women’s teams in the EAST MIDLANDS WOMEN’S CRICKET LEAGUE. These leagues provide an avenue for players to demonstrate their passion and commitment to the sport.

In recognition of the importance of nurturing young talent, our club also runs two Kwik Cricket teams for our younger members. This format is designed to engage and develop skills in a fun and enjoyable manner. Furthermore, we have junior teams participating in the Mansfield & District Youth Cricket League for Under 11, Under 13, and Under 15 age groups. Our junior teams proudly include both boys and girls who are eager to learn, grow, and excel in the world of cricket.
