Welcome to Midhurst CC
Welcome to Midhurst Cricket Club (MCC), a friendly and family-oriented club nestled in the picturesque South Downs National Park. With its stunning grounds, MCC is a welcoming community-based club that prides itself on its inclusive and family-friendly atmosphere.
Club Mark accredited, MCC boasts both Senior and Junior teams, catering to players of all ages and skill levels. Our two Saturday league sides currently play in the I’anson league, showcasing the club’s dedication to competitive cricket. Additionally, we arrange friendly fixtures on Sundays, allowing clubs to engage in friendly matches against us.
For young cricketers eager to develop their skills, MCC offers a fantastic Junior section that provides regular training sessions on Friday evenings from May to July. Our experienced coaches provide guidance and mentorship, ensuring that our juniors have the opportunity to thrive in a supportive environment.
The challenges of the recent lockdown have not hindered MCC’s progress. Thanks to the support received from Sport England, our club managed to sustain the maintenance of our grounds and cover essential overhead expenses. Additionally, grants from Chichester District Council, Easebourne Parish Council, and another charitable trust have enabled us to purchase new net caging, enhancing our training facilities.
In 2022, our 1st XI experienced a well-deserved promotion to division 1, while our 2nd XI remained in division 6. We are constantly on the lookout for new players who are eager to join our ranks and contribute to the success of our club. Senior training nets are held on Wednesday evenings starting in April, offering the perfect opportunity for players to sharpen their skills and forge new friendships.
Friday evenings are not confined to junior training sessions; they also serve as social evenings for members of all ages. You can enjoy a refreshing drink and a delicious BBQ, weather permitting, in our grounds, nestled between the historic Cowdray Ruins and the Cowdray Polo fields.
