Welcome to Netherfield CC, a friendly and inclusive cricket club that welcomes players of all skill levels. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the sport, we invite you to join our sociable community and experience the joy of cricket.

Established many years ago, Netherfield CC has a rich history and strong connections with the local community. Initially playing on Murley Moss, the club later moved to its current ground. Over the years, the club has achieved great success in various leagues and competitions.

In 1926, Netherfield CC became a member of the prestigious North Lancashire League, and in 1953, they claimed the championship title. The club’s reputation continued to grow, and in 1959, they replaced Furness CC as members of the Northern League. Previously, membership was limited to employees of the K Shoes factory, but since then, it has been opened up to all cricket enthusiasts.

Netherfield CC has had several outstanding seasons, winning the Northern League championship five times in 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2008, and 2017. Additionally, they were division two champions in 1989. The club has also demonstrated their excellence in shorter formats, securing victory in the League Twenty/20 Cup on eight occasions, with their most recent triumph in the 2021 season. Furthermore, amidst the challenges of the Covid year in 2020, Netherfield CC emerged victorious in the Palace Shield competition.

The club’s Parkside Road ground is not only a beloved home to our members but has also been a host to Cumberland CCC games since 1956. Notably, the ground has witnessed thrilling matches against First Class Counties, including Derbyshire, Lancashire, Leicestershire, and Sussex.

Netherfield CC takes immense pride in their achievements and the trophies they have earned. In recent years, they have been crowned Fylde Cup Division One B Champions in 2021, Supersports T20 T20 Division 2 Winners in 2022, and Norman Willacy Trophy Division One B Runner Up in 2018.
