Profile
Welcome to Northdown CC
Welcome to Northdown Cricket Club, a friendly and sociable club located at Tivoli Meadow, Margate, Kent. Established in 1954, we recently celebrated our 65th year and have a rich history as a part of the Margate CC community. For most of our existence, we were based at Northdown Park in Cliftonville. However, due to deteriorating facilities, we made the difficult decision to move to our new home in Margate.
In 2016, we embarked on an exciting new venture by entering the Kent Regional Cricket League for the first time. We were thrilled to achieve promotion in our inaugural season and have since climbed even higher. Our league matches take place on Saturdays, and we are proud to play at some beautiful grounds throughout East Kent. Additionally, we organize an annual tour over the August Bank Holiday weekend, which is always a highlight of our season.
At Northdown CC, inclusivity and camaraderie are paramount. Our club welcomes players of all ages, from the young to the (very) old. We believe in providing opportunities for all our players, not just to turn up and field, but to actively contribute to the game. This philosophy extends to our friendly fixtures on Sundays, where we strive to give everyone a chance to shine.
We are always looking to expand our team and create a vibrant and diverse cricket community. If you share our passion for the sport and would like to join us, please reach out to our officials or refer to the Joining section on our website. We would be delighted to hear from you and welcome you into our cricket family.
Northdown Cricket Club prides itself on its inclusivity, friendliness, and commitment to providing enjoyable cricket experiences for all. Whether you are a seasoned player or new to the game, we are confident that you will find a supportive and welcoming environment at our club. Get in touch with us today and become a part of the Northdown CC legacy.
