Welcome to Old Bristolians Westbury Cricket Club (OBWs), a friendly and inclusive club located in the leafy village of Failand, just on the outskirts of Bristol. Whether you’re a seasoned cricket player or someone who has never picked up a bat before, our club warmly welcomes all ages, abilities, and disabilities.

Situated just a stone’s throw away from the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge, our club is fortunate to have one of the largest playing areas in the region. This allows us to host two league matches at home every Saturday, providing ample opportunity for our teams to showcase their skills and enjoy competitive cricket.

Our club boasts excellent practice facilities to help players of all levels improve their game. We have a mobile grass wicket net, three fixed nets, and even a bowling machine for when our bowlers are in need of a challenge. And after a hard day on the field, you can relax and unwind in our fantastic clubhouse. Managed impeccably by Nick and Lisa, our clubhouse offers top-notch facilities for both players and spectators. But what truly sets us apart is the reputation of our teas, renowned as the best in the league. Just ask any of the visiting teams who have experienced the incredible culinary delights prepared by Nick and Lisa.

Looking ahead to the 2023 season, all of our teams are preparing to compete in the Bristol & District Leagues. Our 1st XI will be showcasing their skills in the prestigious WEPL Bristol & North Somerset league in the Senior (Premier) Division. The 2nd XI will be competing in Division 3, while the 3rd XI will be challenging themselves in Division 8. Our 4th XI will round off the line-up in Division 12, ensuring that every player finds a suitable level of competition.

Our club also has a strong focus on developing and nurturing young talent. We have junior sides competing in both the Bristol and District Youth Leagues and the North Somerset Youth Cricket Leagues. Additionally, we have a dedicated Ladies team that competes in the Gloucestershire Ladies Leagues and arranges friendly fixtures throughout the season.
