Welcome to Ovington Cricket Club, a friendly and inclusive community-based cricket club located on the picturesque Little Knavesmire, near York Racecourse. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the sport, we welcome cricket enthusiasts of all abilities and ages.

At Ovington CC, we offer a range of opportunities for cricket lovers to enjoy the game. We have three Saturday afternoon sides that participate in the York & District Senior Cricket League and the York Vale Cricket League. Additionally, our all-age team competes every Wednesday in the Foss Evening League. Our dedication to fostering a love for cricket extends to our junior teams, where children aged 5-18 years can engage in the sport and develop their skills.

Apart from our regular matches, we organize various social events throughout the year. One of our most popular events is the annual “Funday” – a thrilling six-a-side tournament that attracts over 100 players each summer. Participating in this event not only brings enjoyment but also helps raise funds for the club’s expansion and development.

Our club prides itself on its strong sense of community and inclusivity. We encourage both players and non-players to become part of the Ovington family. With over 100 enthusiastic junior members already, aged between 5-18 years, our junior section is thriving.
