Welcome to Portsmouth and Southsea CC, a friendly and inclusive cricket club located within the picturesque grounds of St James’ Hospital in Portsmouth. We extend a warm welcome to players of all ages and abilities, ensuring that everyone feels valued and included within our cricketing community.
Whether you are a seasoned cricketer or a complete novice, our club offers a range of teams and training sessions to suit your needs. Currently, we run four Saturday sides, two W10 sides, two Midweek teams, and cricket teams specifically tailored for children of all ages. So, no matter your age or availability, there is a place for you at Portsmouth and Southsea CC!
Our Colts Training takes place on Monday nights from 6pm, providing young players with the opportunity to learn and develop their skills in a supportive and nurturing environment. Led by experienced coaches, this training session focuses on fundamental cricketing techniques and team building exercises designed to foster confidence and encourage lifelong participation in the sport.
For our adult players, Thursday evenings from 5:30pm are dedicated to training and practice. Whether you aspire to enhance your batting, bowling, or fielding abilities, our dedicated coaching staff will work with you to realize your goals and take your game to the next level.
In addition to our excellent facilities and coaching staff, our club prides itself on its sociability. We understand that cricket is not only about the game, but also about forming lasting friendships and connections. With regular social events, both on and off the pitch, we provide ample opportunities for our members to bond and create memories that extend beyond the boundary lines.
