Welcome to Purton CC

Welcome to Purton Cricket Club, the oldest cricket club in Wiltshire, founded in 1820. We are a welcoming and family-friendly club that is deeply embedded in the community. At Purton CCA, we strongly believe in helping each other and supporting our youth in their cricket endeavors.

Our club is known for playing cricket to a high standard and we are proud to have top-notch facilities that attract and retain the best players, coaches, and supporters. Our dedication to excellence is reflected in the fact that we currently have two Saturday sides. The 1st XI competes in the Wiltshire County Cricket League (WCCL) Division 1, while the 2nd XI plays in the WCCL Division 4. Additionally, we have a midweek side participating in the Monahan’s Swindon Midweek Cricket League and a team in the Swindon Indoor Cricket Association.

Our thriving youth section is an integral part of our club. We have teams at various age levels, competing in the Wiltshire Junior League in the under 19, 15, 13, 11, and 9 categories. We believe in nurturing young talent and providing them with the opportunity to develop their skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Volunteers play a crucial role in the functioning of our club, and we are always delighted to welcome new helpers. Whether you have a passion for cricket or administrative expertise, we appreciate any assistance you can offer. As an esteemed cricket club, we take pride in our accreditations. We are proud to be the 492nd club in the UK to receive the ECB Clubmark. This accreditation recognizes and celebrates our commitment to high standards of club management and development. We are also designated as a Wiltshire Cricket Focus Club, which highlights our dedication to supporting the strategic goals of Wiltshire Cricket.
