Welcome to Sandy CC
Welcome to Sandy Cricket Club, a friendly and inclusive club that welcomes players of all ages and abilities. Whether you are an experienced cricketer or a beginner looking to learn, our club is the perfect place for you.
In the upcoming 2023 season, Sandy Cricket Club will be fielding two Saturday XI’s once again, providing ample opportunities for players to showcase their skills and enjoy the sport. We take great pride in our focus on youth development, and in the past, we have had teams competing at Under 10, Under 12, and Under 14 levels of the Bedfordshire Youth League. This season, we are excited to announce the return of our Under 11’s and Under 13’s youth teams in the league, ensuring that young players have the opportunity to grow and excel in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Our ground, located at Sunderland Road Recreation Ground, is easily accessible via Engayne Avenue/Medusa Way. Signposted from the Secondary School, the ground offers a picturesque setting for cricket matches and a sense of community spirit. When visiting, simply follow the signs from the St Neots Road junction with Engayne Avenue towards the Village Hall. Ample car parking space is available overlooking the Recreation Ground, beyond the access road that leads to the Village Hall. Our Jenkins Sports Pavilion is conveniently located behind the Village Hall, providing a comfortable space for players and spectators.
Sandy Cricket Club is proud to be affiliated with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Cricket East, ensuring that we uphold the highest standards and follow the best practices in the sport. Additionally, our club has been a Clubmark club since 2012, a testament to our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our members.
Whether you are a seasoned cricketer looking for a new club or a beginner eager to learn and improve, Sandy Cricket Club welcomes you with open arms. Join us today and become a part of our friendly and sociable cricket community.
