Welcome to Sheffield Collegiate CC, one of the oldest established cricket clubs in the area. Founded in 1881, we are proud of our rich history and reputation for producing great players and officials.

Based at Abbeydale Park in Sheffield, our club boasts excellent playing facilities on our main grounds. We have two grounds on the same site, allowing us to accommodate multiple matches and training sessions simultaneously. Our facilities are well-maintained and provide the ideal environment for players to showcase their skills and enjoy the game.

Sheffield Collegiate has been the training ground for some of the cricketing world's most renowned individuals. Michael Vaughan, former England Captain, Joe Root, current England player and former Test Captain, Richard Kettleborough, named Umpire of the Year 2015 by the ICC Elite Panel, and Billy Root of Glamorgan County Cricket Club, all honed their skills at our club. We take pride in nurturing and developing talent, and our track record speaks for itself.

Throughout the years, we have achieved numerous accolades. We have won the Yorkshire League seven times, the National Club Competition at Lord’s in 2000, and the 1984 National Under 13 Club Championship, among 35 other Leagues and Championships. In 2019, we reached the last four in England in the National Club T20 Championship, further solidifying our position as a competitive and successful club.

At Sheffield Collegiate, we believe in giving back to the community. We have strong links with local primary schools and actively engage in coaching programs. From taster days to curriculum time coaching and tournament days at Abbeydale Park, we introduce young people to the sport of cricket and provide opportunities for them to hone their skills. Our schools coaching is coordinated and run by players and coaches at SCCC, ensuring a high level of expertise and guidance.
