Southwater Cricket Club is an ECB Clubmark accredited club that has experienced continuous success and growth over the past few years. If you are seeking to join a prosperous and ambitious cricket club that upholds strong values and traditions, then we want to extend a warm invitation to you.

With a rich history dating back to 1890, cricket has been a beloved sport in the village of Southwater for over a century. As an ECB Clubmark accredited club, we are dedicated to providing the highest standards of cricketing excellence and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all our members.

Our 1st XI competes in Division 5 Central of the highly competitive Sussex Cricket League. Similarly, our 2nd XI competes in Division 9 West, and our 3rd XI in Division 12 West (North). In addition to our league teams, we also organize midweek and Sunday friendly T20 matches, providing ample opportunities for our members to showcase their skills and enjoy the camaraderie of the game.

At Southwater Cricket Club, we take great pride in our thriving junior section, which caters to boys and girls starting from the age of six. We offer clear pathways for their progression into our senior teams, fostering their development and love for the game.

In recognition of our outstanding contributions to cricket, in 2019, we were honored with the prestigious Sussex Coaching Club of the Year Award. This accolade reflects not only our success on the pitch, having emerged as champions in several colts leagues, but also our dedication to providing qualified coaching, excellent facilities, and the growth of our colts section to include boys, girls, and mixed teams across all age levels.

As we continue to build our cricketing community, we warmly welcome volunteers to join us in various capacities, particularly in scoring or umpiring. Full training will be provided to those interested in contributing to the success of our club.
