Welcome to Springfield CC

Welcome to Springfield Cricket Club, a friendly and inclusive club located at Coronation Park. We have been proudly playing and promoting the sport since 1961, making it our home ground for over six decades. With a clubhouse boasting bar and catering facilities that was built in 1971, we offer a fantastic environment for our members.

At Springfield CC, we have a strong presence in various leagues and competitions. On Saturdays, we have five teams competing in both the Hamro Foundation Essex League and the T.Rippon Mid-Essex League. Furthermore, we have two Sunday XI teams, with one XI participating in the North Essex League. And if that’s not enough, we also have a Midweek Twenty20 team, ensuring that our members can enjoy cricket throughout the week.

One of our proudest achievements is having one of the largest junior sections in the county. Our Colts age group teams range from Under 9’s to U15’s and play in the Central Essex Junior Cricket League. Additionally, we have under 12 and under 16 sides competing in the prestigious Brian Taylor Cup and Trevor Bailey Matchplay competitions, showcasing the talent and dedication of our young players. Our club is also immensely proud to host the Springfield Tigers, one of the leading youth disability teams in the region.

At Springfield CC, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our members. Since 2003, we have been an England and Wales Cricket Board Club-mark Focus Club, reflecting our commitment to providing a safe and child-friendly environment. With 10 England & Wales Cricket Board Coaches and a team of qualified assistant helpers, we ensure that our coaching staff is fully qualified to deliver professional and secure cricket coaching to all children in our community. Ken Godridge, our Club Safeguarding Officer, oversees our safeguarding efforts.
