Profile
Welcome to St Erme CC
Welcome to St Erme Cricket Club, a friendly, sociable, and inclusive club located in the thriving village of St Erme. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the sport, we welcome individuals of all ages and abilities to join our cricketing community.
As a club, we take pride in our strong presence in the Cornwall Cricket League. With three senior teams participating in County 1, Division 4 West, and Division 6 Central, we provide opportunities for players to compete at various levels. Additionally, we also run a “social” team in the Newlyn East League on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer, offering a more relaxed and enjoyable environment for those looking for a less competitive experience.
Our Junior Section is a fundamental part of our club, fostering the development of young cricketers. Coaching sessions for juniors take place every Friday evening from early May, starting at 6.30. We have teams in the Duchy Cricket League for Under 9s, 11s, and 13s, providing a platform for children to learn and grow in the sport. In 2022, we are proud to become a Disabled Cricket Champion Club, offering coaching sessions specifically tailored to individuals with disabilities.
At St Erme Cricket Club, we strive for excellence both on and off the field. We have been accredited with the ECB Clubmark, a recognition of our commitment to providing a safe and high-quality cricketing experience. Our facilities at Castle Field are top-notch, featuring a modern clubhouse with a bar, a 2-lane artificial net facility, covers, a scorebox, and a superb playing surface. Whether it’s enjoying a drink with fellow members or honing your skills in practice, our facilities cater to all your cricketing needs.
If you would like to learn more about St Erme Cricket Club or are interested in joining our ranks, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our Honorary Secretary, Nick Cole. Nick can be contacted at 01872 270805 or via email at nickandhelen25@btinternet.com. We look forward to welcoming you to our club and sharing the joy of cricket with you!
