Welcome to Whitmore Cricket Club, a thriving community club located in Whitmore, Newcastle under Lyme. We are proud to offer a place for cricketers of all ages, experience levels, and ambitions to come together and be part of something truly special.

Our Junior Cricket Academy is the heart and soul of our club, attracting over 100 young cricketers to our training evenings every Spring and Summer. These sessions take place on Fridays at 6pm and provide a fantastic opportunity for children to develop their skills while enjoying the wonderful game of cricket. For parents and adult members, Junior Training Fridays are a time to relax and unwind, with the bar open and a welcoming atmosphere. We even boast one of the largest beer gardens in the entire county!

We are particularly proud of our Girls Lightning teams, which compete at various age groups, including U11, U13, U15 (ECB National T20 Champions 2022), and U19. Many of our teenage Junior members go on to represent Junior and Senior County Teams, as well as our very own Whitmore Senior teams.

Speaking of our Senior teams, we have a range of options for our adult members. Our 1st XI competes in the North Staffs & South Cheshire League Division 1, while our 2nd XI and 3rd XI compete in Divisions 6 and 8 respectively. We also have a Sunday 1st XI and Sunday 2nd XI that participate in the Stone & District League.

Our Women's & Girls Cricket section, known as Whitmore Lightning, is a force to be reckoned with. Our 1st XI plays in the West Midlands Women's League Division 1, and our 2nd XI competes in Division 2. We also have a 3rd XI in the West Midlands Women's County League, as well as a 4th XI in the Staffordshire Women's League. Additionally, our women's softball team, Whitmore Lightning Softball, represents the club at various festivals and indoor leagues.
