Welcome to Wombat CC, the friendly and inclusive cricket club located on the outskirts of Taunton. Whether you’re a seasoned player or a beginner, we welcome individuals of all cricketing abilities and experiences to join our club.

At Wombat CC, we prioritize the enjoyment and fun of playing cricket. We believe in playing in the “Wombat Spirit”, which means maintaining a positive and supportive environment for all members. Our club takes pride in cultivating a sociable and friendly atmosphere, where players can build connections and develop their skills on and off the field.

One of the highlights of Wombat CC is our beautiful grounds, nestled at the foot of the Quantock Hills. The picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for our matches and training sessions. We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to play at such a stunning location in Somerset.

Since 2019, Wombat CC has been actively involved in delivering the ECB National Programmes of All Stars and Dynamos Cricket. These programmes offer a safe and family-friendly platform for children to engage in cricket at our club. With nearly 100 children participating across both programmes, our Friday nights are filled with thriving energy and the joy of developing cricketing skills.

We also take great pride in our partnership with Somerset Visually Impaired Cricket Club. As their host, we provide training facilities and home matches for the team, who actively participate in local and national tournaments. This positive relationship continues to grow, and we are honored to be a part of enabling visually impaired individuals to enjoy the sport they love.
