Amod Yadav’s cricketing odyssey began in the bustling city of Pune, where he was born on the 10th of December, 2001. Even as a young boy, cricket captured his imagination. With a cricket-crazy family to support him, Amod would spend hours honing his skills on makeshift pitches in local neighbourhoods. It was his natural affinity for bowling that first caught the eye of local coaches, who encouraged him to take the sport seriously.

As Amod matured, so did his bowling craft. He developed into a right-arm offbreak bowler with the knack for spinning the ball sharply. His prodigious talent was evident at a young age, and soon he found himself representing Maharashtra in the Under-16 and Under-19 teams. His ability to consistently outsmart batsmen with his flight, dip, and turn made him a standout performer. In 2020, against Uttar Pradesh in a domestic Under-19 tournament, Amod delivered a spellbinding performance, claiming a five-wicket haul that cemented his burgeoning reputation.

Amod’s professional debut in the Ranji Trophy came in the 2022 season. In his debut match, facing the more seasoned team of Mumbai, he not only held his nerve but emerged as the leading wicket-taker for his side. His performances were instrumental in setting up crucial victories, and the young bowler quickly became a lynchpin for his team. His rivalries with other domestic stalwarts, particularly with Saurashtra's formidable batting line-up, provided thrilling duels where his wily offspin often turned the tide in his team's favour.
