Ashain De Silva

Ashain De Silva, born on 17th January 1996, in the bustling cricket-loving city of Colombo, Sri Lanka, is one of the sport’s most talented left-handed batsmen. His journey from the cricket pitches of his local school to the hallowed grounds of international arenas is a testament to his sheer dedication and love for the game.

Starting his cricketing odyssey at a tender age, Ashain’s first real exposure to competitive cricket came during his school days at Royal College, Colombo. His tenacity and skill at the crease caught the attention of selectors, paving the way for his quick ascension through the ranks of the national youth squads. By the age of 19, he made his way into the Under-19 national team, demonstrating his knack for anchoring innings with poise and precision.

In 2018, Ashain achieved a significant milestone in his burgeoning career, making his professional debut for Sri Lanka in an ODI against Bangladesh.
