Ashwin Balaji was born on 13th February 1989 in Chennai, a city known for its rich cricketing culture. From a young age, Ashwin displayed a natural affinity for the sport, spending countless hours perfecting his craft in the bustling local grounds. His journey to professional cricket was fuelled by his left-hand batting prowess, which was complemented by his ability to bowl right-arm fast-medium—a rare combination that intrigued enthusiasts and scouts alike.
