Born on 18th September 1991 in the tranquil surroundings of Thailand, Austin Lazarus transcended the odds to carve out an illustrious career in cricket, a sport not traditionally associated with his homeland. From the modest pitches of Bangkok, where he first picked up a bat, Lazarus swiftly moved through the ranks of local cricket clubs, mesmerizing onlookers with his natural flair and elegance at the crease.

His journey from a young enthusiast to a professional cricketer took a decisive turn when his family moved to Australia during his teenage years. There, he honed his skills under the guidance of seasoned coaches at a prestigious cricket academy, which set the foundation for his future success. His prodigious talent did not go unnoticed, earning him a spot in the Queensland junior teams, where he consistently impressed with his right-hand batting prowess and a surprisingly swift right-arm-fast-medium bowling option.

Lazarus made his professional debut in 2013 for Queensland in Australia's domestic circuit, showcasing an exquisite stroke play that often left bowlers perplexed. His ability to adapt and deliver under pressure was evident in the 2015-16 Sheffield Shield season, where his innings of 142 against New South Wales solidified his reputation as a burgeoning talent.
