Bhupendra Thapa's journey from the rugged terrain of Nepal to the international cricket scene is nothing short of remarkable. Born on 12th January 1994 in a small town nestled in the mountains, Bhupendra's early years were spent playing cricket in the narrow lanes of his village, using a makeshift bat crafted from local timber. Needing a fierce rival to truly shine, Bhupendra led Nepal to a monumental win with a breathtaking innings of 89 runs, etching his name as a fierce contender on the international stage.

He was instrumental in Nepal’s first major ICC tournament qualification. Bhupendra's adaptability was evident during the 2018 ICC World Cup Qualifiers, where he emerged as Nepal’s highest run-scorer. His century against Scotland not only anchored the team’s innings but also broke several records, including being one of the fastest-ever centuries scored by a Nepali player in an ICC event.
