Charlie Stobo, born on 8th March 1995, carved his path into the cricketing world with a determination and flair that set him apart from his peers. Growing up in the vibrant sports culture of Sydney, Charlie's journey began in the tranquil parks of his hometown where he first picked up a bat and ball, igniting a passion that would define his life.

From an early age, Charlie’s talent was evident. A right-hand batsman and right-arm fast-medium bowler, he first showcased his allrounder abilities at the age of 12, dazzling local club teams with both his precise seam bowling and effortless strokes at the crease. As his skills developed, he was soon scooped up by the New South Wales Under-19s, where his adaptability and tenacity caught the eye of state selectors.

Charlie's professional debut came in the 2016-2017 Sheffield Shield season when he donned the New South Wales cap. Instantly, his impactful performances made him one to watch, taking five wickets on debut against Victoria, a match where his searing in-swing and out-swing left seasoned batsmen floundering. A critical innings followed shortly after, as he steered his team to victory with a patient half-century, announcing himself as a dependable batsman even when under pressure.

Over the years, Charlie’s career has been punctuated by significant achievements. He played a pivotal role in New South Wales' triumph in the 2019-2020 Sheffield Shield, a campaign remembered for his dazzling spell of reverse swing against South Australia, where he claimed 7 wickets for just 40 runs. His ability to deliver in the clutch moments became his trademark, building a respectable aura around him in domestic circles. Notably, his fierce rivalry with Queensland’s opening batsman, which brought out the competitive fire in him, became the stuff of legend.

Charlie’s playing style is built on fierce competitiveness, a strong cricketing intellect, and a meticulous technique with both bat and ball. His batting is characterised by a compact stance and a versatile range of shots, particularly excelling in his drives through cover. As a bowler, he is known for his ability to consistently deliver at a sharp pace, swinging the ball both ways to keep batsmen on their toes.
