Danish Qureshi, born on 1st January 2001, emerged from the bustling streets of Lahore, where cricket is not just a sport but a way of life. Danish was introduced to cricket by his father, a local club player, who nurtured Danish’s nascent talent. By the age of 10, he was already turning heads with his elegant strokes in neighbourhood matches. His prodigious talent soon saw him entering the prestigious Lahore Cricket Academy, an institution renowned for polishing raw cricketing talent in Pakistan.

Danish made his first-class debut at the tender age of 18, playing for Punjab in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. His breakthrough came in the 2020 season when his deft batting, characterised by a classical front-foot technique and a fearless back-foot play, amassed over 800 runs. His contribution was pivotal in securing the championship for Punjab, marking a significant milestone in his budding career.
