Dulaj Samuditha's cricketing journey began in the bustling streets of Colombo, Sri Lanka, where a young Dulaj first developed his fascination for the game. Born on 6th January 2003, his early play was marked by an uncanny ability to swing a tennis ball with a deft flick of his wrist, often catching older boys unaware with his natural talent. With the support of his family, Dulaj channelled this raw ability into structured training, joining a local cricket academy where he refined his skills under the watchful eyes of seasoned coaches.

As a left-arm fast-medium bowler, Dulaj quickly established himself in the youth circuits, gaining a reputation for his ability to extract surprising bounce and seam movement from even the most docile pitches. His left-handed batting, though often overshadowed by his bowling, provided crucial lower-order stability, emerging as a resilient rearguard during pressurised situations.
