Born on 19th October 1993, Gaurav Gupta’s cricketing journey began on the dusty pitches of his hometown, where he first picked up a bat as a curious young boy. His love for the game blossomed early, fuelled by weekends spent at local grounds under the watchful eyes of his father, an ardent cricket enthusiast. It was not long before his talent shone through, earning him a spot in his school team and, subsequently, the district under-15s squad.

A deemed prodigy, Gaurav’s first major breakthrough came when he scored a sensational century in a high-stakes inter-district tournament final, a performance that was duly noted by state selectors. At just 19, his prowess with the bat and his ability to deliver handy spells with his right-arm-fast-medium bowling were recognised at the state level.
