Born on the 20th of November, 2005, Hardeep Ram’s cricketing odyssey began in the dusty lanes of Chandigarh. From a young age, he was the kid who was always carrying a cricket ball, often seen perfecting his action under the dim streetlights after school. His early talent was evident and quickly nurtured by local coaches who saw in him a burgeoning fast-medium bowler with raw promise.

Hardeep’s journey from the street to the stadium was as swift as his deliveries. By the time he was 15, his right-arm-fast-medium prowess was turning heads at the under-16 regional tournaments. Scouts quickly picked up on his potential, leading to an opportunity to train at India’s prestigious National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. It wasn't long before Hardeep’s name was etched on the team sheet for the under-19 national side, making his professional debut at the age of 17 in a youth ODI against Sri Lanka.

The young bowler's defining moment came during the U19 World Cup, where he starred against England, delivering a spell that had the cricketing world sit up and take notice. He took 5/28 in a riveting match that saw him decimate the English batting lineup with both movement and pace. Hardeep’s ability to swing the new ball and deploy a cunning slower one as the innings progressed quickly became his calling card.
