Jackson Munro Bird is an Australian cricketer who is known for his accurate bowling and impressive performances in first-class cricket.
Born on December 11, 1986, in Sydney, Australia, Bird moved from New South Wales to Tasmania in pursuit of his cricketing dreams.
His decision proved to be a fruitful one as he quickly made an impact with his new side.

In his debut season in 2011-12, Bird showcased his skills by claiming a remarkable 53 wickets in the Sheffield Shield at an outstanding average of 16.00.
His superb performances played a crucial role in Tasmania's journey to the final of the tournament.
Such exceptional achievements earned him the well-deserved title of Sheffield Shield Player of the Year, solidifying his position as one of the most promising fast bowlers in Australian domestic cricket.

Although Bird's bowling speed may not be blistering, his relentless accuracy and ability to generate swing and seam movement make him a dangerous opponent at the Shield level.
His consistency in attacking the stumps has troubled many batsmen and earned him numerous wickets throughout his career.

Following his impressive debut season, Bird received recognition at the national level when he was called up for the Australia A squad in 2012.
He later earned his place in the national squad for the Boxing Day Test against Sri Lanka in the same year.
Bird's exceptional performance in his second Test against Sri Lanka in Sydney earned him the Man of the Match accolade.
However, after playing just one Test during the 2013 Ashes tour, he faced a period of being dropped from the squad.

In 2016, Bird made a comeback to the national team during the Test series against New Zealand.
Despite his lack of express pace, the selectors believed in his ability to move the ball, which proved to be an astute decision.
In the second Test match in Christchurch, Bird played a pivotal role in Australia's victory by taking five second-innings wickets and a total of seven wickets for the match.

Over the next 18 months, Bird played four more Tests for Australia, displaying his proficiency with the ball.
However, he did not feature in any Test matches in 2018.
Nevertheless, he continued to prove his worth in first-class cricket, dominating the 2018-19 Sheffield Shield season for Tasmania by taking an impressive 50 wickets at an average of 22.22.
His exceptional performances included two 10-wicket hauls, further solidifying his reputation as one of the finest fast bowlers in Australian domestic cricket.

Outside of cricket, Bird pursued his academic goals and earned a Bachelor of Business degree with a specialization in marketing.
Despite his busy cricketing schedule, he successfully balanced his sporting pursuits and educational endeavors.

Jackson Munro Bird's commitment to his craft, precision in bowling, and consistent performances have established him as a prominent figure in Australian cricket.
As he continues to excel in domestic cricket, many cricket enthusiasts eagerly await his return to the international arena, where his skills and accuracy can pose a significant challenge to batsmen worldwide.
