Jordan Aaron Thompson is a talented and combative allrounder hailing from England.
Born on May 9th, 1997, Thompson has emerged as a key player for Yorkshire County Cricket Club.

Thompson's breakout year came in 2020 during the Bob Willis Trophy.
In the five North Group matches, he showcased his abilities by scoring an impressive 234 runs and taking 15 wickets.
Unfortunately, he fell agonizingly short of his maiden century, missing out by just two runs against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.
Nevertheless, he ended the season with a memorable performance, securing his first five-wicket haul and contributing with a vital 62 runs in the first innings against Leicestershire at Headingley.

Following his successful season, Thompson continued to impress and solidify his position in the Yorkshire team.
In both the 2021 and 2022 seasons, he surpassed 40 first-class wickets, establishing himself as a reliable bowler for his side.
Additionally, his contributions during the 2022 Vitality Blast were crucial in Yorkshire's progression to the Finals Day.
Notably, Thompson exhibited nerves of steel during the quarter-final clash against Surrey, delivering a decisive final over that ultimately led to a one-run victory.
He further showcased his batting prowess in the semi-finals with a blistering 18-ball half-century against Lancashire.

Despite making his debut for Yorkshire's 2nd XI in 2013 at the age of 16, Thompson had to wait until 2018 to make his appearance for the first team.
He participated in nine matches during the T20 Blast, eagerly seizing his opportunity to make an impact.
The following season proved to be pivotal for Thompson's career, as he excelled with both bat and ball in the second XI.
His exceptional performances, tallying 736 runs and 33 wickets, led to his first opportunity in first-class cricket.
Thompson made his debut against Surrey at Guildford in the Championship, where he dismissed the renowned English Test batsmen Mark Stoneman and Scott Borthwick for his first-ever first-class wickets.
Additionally, in the early stages of that season's Blast campaign, he hammered a 26-ball half-century against Derbyshire.

Beyond his cricketing achievements, Thompson faces the added challenge of managing his Type 1 diabetes, a condition he was diagnosed with during his teenage years.
Despite the complications it presents, Thompson is determined to raise awareness for Diabetes UK and inspire others with similar conditions through his achievements on the cricket field.

Jordan Aaron Thompson's career trajectory is on an upward trajectory, with his exceptional performances and all-round abilities making him an invaluable asset to Yorkshire.
With his dedication, skill, and perseverance, Thompson has the potential to continue making significant contributions to English cricket on both domestic and international stages.
