Lewis Gregory is a professional cricketer from England known for his prowess as a batting all-rounder.
Born on May 25, 1992, in Plymouth, Devon, Gregory has established himself as a consistent performer in the county game despite facing several injury setbacks throughout his career.

Having captained the England Under-19 team, Gregory's professional career initially had its ups and downs.
However, during the 2014 season, he began to showcase his potential as an all-rounder, delivering impressive performances with both bat and ball.
Gregory's talents were on full display when he smashed a blistering century off just 70 balls in a List A match against Durham.
This remarkable innings served as a reminder of his capabilities with the bat and demonstrated his promise as an all-rounder.

Gregory came close to making his international debut in 2015, being named in a weakened England squad to face Ireland in Dublin.
However, he did not get the opportunity to play and eventually missed out on selection due to a back injury.
The next few seasons were marred by frequent injuries, with Gregory often playing through pain or finding himself on the sidelines.
There were even rumors of a potential move to Middlesex during the 2018 campaign.

However, the 2018 season turned out to be a breakthrough year for Gregory.
Not only was he appointed captain of Somerset in T20 cricket, but he also showcased his skills as a hard-hitting finisher, scoring 328 runs at a strike-rate of over 200 in the T20 Blast.
Additionally, he contributed with useful runs and wickets in the Championship, surpassing the 50-wicket mark for the first time in a first-class season in 2019.
Despite Somerset's title charge falling short, Gregory's performances did not go unnoticed.

Gregory's impressive displays earned him a call-up to the England squad for the 2019 tour of New Zealand.
Although his international career was short-lived, he proved more successful in the 50-over format than in T20 cricket.
In 2021, he played a vital innings of 77 off 69 balls against Pakistan at Edgbaston, which helped England clinch a 3-0 whitewash victory.

During the English winter, Gregory expanded his horizons, playing in various T20 leagues around the world.
He participated in tournaments such as the Big Bash, the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the Pakistan Super League (PSL), and the South African T20 league (SA20).
Moreover, he showcased exceptional leadership skills as the captain of the Trent Rocket team in The Hundred, leading them to the eliminator in 2021 and clinching victory in the low-scoring 2022 final with his unbeaten match-winning knock.

Gregory's journey as a cricketer is a testament to his determination and resilience.
Despite the setbacks he faced due to injuries, he continuously demonstrated his talent and adaptability across different formats of the game.
Lewis Gregory's passion for cricket and his ability to contribute with both bat and ball make him an exciting player to watch on the field, and his dedication to his craft continues to inspire young cricketers around the world.
