Born on 18th September 1997, Naeem's passion for the game was as prominent as the sun-baked pitches on which he first learned to play. His nimble footwork and instinctual understanding of angles made him a natural wicketkeeper very early on.

Naeem's formal cricketing education started in the local leagues of Lahore, where his uncanny ability to read the ball earned him a place in the regional under-16 team. As a wicketkeeper, he was famous for his swift movements and sharp reflexes, traits that caught the eyes of scouts beyond Punjab's borders.
