Natasha Miles’s journey to becoming a celebrated allrounder in cricket began in the quaint suburb of Kingston upon Thames, where she was born on 19th October 1988. From the tender age of seven, Natasha was often seen with a cricket bat in hand, honing her skills in back gardens and local clubs, instinctively leaning towards a right-handed batting and bowling style that would come to define her professional persona.

Her talent was evident early on and she quickly rose through the ranks at Surrey Women’s Cricket Club. By her late teens, Natasha had earned her place on the England Women’s Under-19 team, showcasing a blend of explosive batting and shrewd fast-medium bowling. Her professional debut came with Surrey in 2007, a moment that marked the beginning of an illustrious career. It wasn't long before she became a fixture in the senior national setup, courtesy of her exceptional all-round capabilities.

One of Natasha’s crowning achievements came during the 2014 Women’s Ashes, where her strategic, line-and-length bowling brought her 15 wickets, whilst her aggressive batting style contributed heavily to England's series victory. Another high point came in 2016 when she was instrumental in leading her domestic team to victory in the County Championship, her flamboyant century in the final making headlines.

Throughout her career, rivalries with Australia and India were particularly notable. Matches against Australia always seemed to bring out the best in her; in 2017, she scored a match-winning knock of 85, steering England to a famous victory.

Natasha’s playing style is characterised by her powerful batting, particularly her aggressive play against fast bowlers, and her ability to nail the Yorker with precision when bowling. Her versatility allows her to adapt in both batting and bowling roles as the game demands, making her a crucial asset to any team. Her fielding prowess, too, has saved crucial runs, showcasing her as the consummate team player.

Perhaps her most indelible contribution to the sport was during the 2018 ICC Women's World Twenty20, where she famously turned a game with a hat-trick of wickets in a single over, etching her name in World Cup history. Her career, rich with accolades and cherished moments, continues to inspire young cricketers who see in Natasha Miles an icon of the game.
