Born on 8th November 1994 in the quaint town of Amritsar, Parminder Singh's journey in cricket began in the dusty by-lanes where he spent countless hours honing his skills. As a young lad, his passion for the game was evident, and he quickly caught the attention of local coaches with his prodigious right-arm fast-medium bowling. His natural flair and hawk-like focus paved the path for his selection in the Punjab Under-19 team, marking the beginning of his cricketing odyssey.

Parminder made his professional debut in the Ranji Trophy for Punjab, swiftly establishing himself as a formidable bowler. His knack for extracting bounce even from the flattest of pitches and his ability to swing the ball both ways made him a nightmare for batsmen. It wasn’t long before he set his eyes on the national team and, in 2017, secured a place in India's national squad, taking his talents to the international stage.

Throughout his career, Parminder has been pivotal in numerous matches, often turning the tide in India's favour. One of his most memorable performances came against Australia in a heated Test series in 2020, where he took nine wickets in the match, staging a remarkable comeback for India. His rivalry with Australia’s top order became legendary, with many cricket pundits mesmerised by his psychological duels with their batsmen.

An accomplished player, Parminder has been an integral part of India’s bowling line-up in two ICC World Cup campaigns, his strategic bowling contributing to key victories. Known for his surprising bursts of speed and sharp bouncers, Parminder doesn't rely solely on pace. His meticulous line and length, coupled with a deceptive slower ball, have fetched him countless wickets in crunch situations.

Parminder's batting, though not his forte, has delivered on several occasions, displaying resilience and a gritty determination in closing overs, providing the team with crucial runs when needed.

His spellbinding over where he clinched a hat-trick during a T20 international in 2021 against England, forever etched his name in cricket annals, showcasing his impact with undeniable flair. Parminder Singh continues to be a steadfast pillar of Indian cricket, always on the precipice of another game-changing performance. His career is a testament to the unyielding spirit of a bowler who rose from humble beginnings to become one of the sport’s luminaries.
