Qamar Zaman

Born on 1st January 2001, Qamar Zaman has grown from a starry-eyed youngster in the bustling streets of Lahore to one of cricket's most formidable allrounders. Qamar's journey began in a cricket-loving family where tapes of Imran Khan's heroics played on repeat and makeshift cricket matches were a regular evening affair. Inspired by the legends before him, Qamar quickly moved from backyard games to his local club, catching the eye of selectors with his natural talent.

By the time he was 15, Qamar was already turning heads at age-group cricket tournaments across Pakistan. His ability to swing the ball at a lively pace combined with his hard-hitting batting captivated scouts at every level. A breakthrough came in his late teens when he was called up for the Under-19 national team. It wasn't long before his relentless performances set the stage for his much-awaited professional debut.

Qamar made his first-class debut at just 18, impressing with both bat and ball. A notable early achievement was his maiden List-A century, which came amidst a gripping chase that went down to the wire. In 2021, he made his T20 International debut against arch-rivals India — a match that Qamar cites as a defining moment in his career. The game, intense and laden with pressure, saw Qamar deliver figures of 3 for 28, reconstructing India's middle order with his pace and precision.
