Samerjeet's professional debut came in 2018, in the domestic cricket circuit, when he was just eighteen. Making his first-class debut for Punjab, he quickly became a sensation with his pace and swing, dazzling audiences and alarming rival batsmen with his sharp bouncers and cunning yorkers. His adaptability was not confined to bowling alone; his batting, while not his standout skill, demonstrated a resolve and flexibility that often pulled his team out of difficult situations.

A significant chapter in Singh’s burgeoning career was the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL). Picked by the Delhi Capitals, his spellbinding performance in the tournament left an indelible mark. His spell of 6 for 23 against the Mumbai Indians remains one of the finest displays of fast bowling in tournament history. It was during this period that he began to form an engaging rivalry with Mumbai’s star batsman, Rohit Sharma.
