Saurav Khanal's journey into the world of cricket began in the bustling streets of Kathmandu, where he was born on the New Year's Day of 2000. From a young age, Saurav's prodigious talent was evident, as he spent countless hours honing his skills in makeshift cricket grounds. His father, a passionate cricket enthusiast himself, ensured Saurav had access to whatever resources the city could offer, and soon enough, his talent started attracting attention.

By the age of 15, Saurav was representing his school and quickly became the youngest member of the local district side.
