Singh Gurpreet’s cricketing odyssey is as unlikely as it is inspiring. Born on 1st January 2000 in the scenic yet cricket-untouched nation of Portugal, Gurpreet’s journey to the cricketing stage was anything but conventional. His fascination with the game began as a young boy, unfazed by the limited exposure to cricket in his homeland. With dreams that soared far beyond the boundaries of Portugal, he tenaciously pursued his passion, often improvising with makeshift pitches and local friends who shared his interest in the game.

Gurpreet’s journey took a pivotal turn when his family relocated to London during his early teens. It was here, amidst the rich cricketing culture of England, that he truly honed his craft. Displaying a flair for bowling early on, Gurpreet quickly became known for his ability to swing the ball both ways and bamboozle batsmen with his deceptive pace variations. These skills didn't go unnoticed for long. His big break came when he was selected for Surrey’s junior team, a stepping stone that eventually led to his debut in first-class cricket at the tender age of 18.
