Stephen David Parry, born on 12 June 1986, is a talented cricket player hailing from England.
Known for his skills as a left-arm spinner, Parry has made significant contributions to both Lancashire and the England national team.

Parry's journey to success was not an easy one, as he had to prove himself primarily in limited-overs cricket during the early stages of his career.
Despite the challenges, he managed to make a name for himself and was recognized as a crucial element in the Lancashire squad.

In 2015, Parry showcased his prowess as a T20 bowler when he finished as the joint-leading wicket-taker in the NatWest T20 Blast, alongside his teammate James Faulkner.
His remarkable performance played a vital role in securing Lancashire's victory in the competition.
However, despite his achievements, he narrowly missed out on a place in England's World Twenty20 squad in 2016, with Liam Dawson being preferred.

Before achieving county honors with Lancashire, Parry represented Cumberland in Minor Counties cricket.
He made an impressive debut in first-class cricket in 2007, claiming a five-wicket haul against Durham University.
However, due to the presence of other talented slow left-armers like Gary Keedy and Simon Kerrigan, opportunities were limited for Parry at the time.

Parry's inclusion in the England Lions squad came in 2010 when he played a 50-over match against India A.
He also showcased his batting skills by scoring a century for the Lancashire Second XI in 2011.
Additionally, he captained the Lancashire team that triumphed in the Second XI one-day competition in 2012.

Parry's breakthrough came in 2013 when he caught the attention of the England selectors during the tour of the West Indies and the World Twenty20 in Bangladesh.
Despite suffering a broken arm during training, he impressed with his performances, particularly his remarkable 5 for 17 against Surrey in a 40-overs match, which had only been surpassed by one other Lancashire bowler in one-day cricket.

He made his ODI debut against West Indies in Antigua, where his impressive figures of 3 for 32 earned him the man-of-the-match award.
Following this, he represented England in two T20 internationals in Barbados and was also selected for the World T20 in Bangladesh.
However, he was eventually dropped from the team following his fifth T20I match against Pakistan in Dubai at the end of 2015.

Parry had the opportunity to reunite with Ashley Giles, then England's one-day coach, when Giles became Lancashire's director of cricket.
Under Giles' guidance, Parry continued to showcase his skills in T20 and ODI cricket.
Notably, it was Glen Chapple, Giles' successor, who provided Parry with regular opportunities in the Championship.

After ten years since his remarkable first-class debut, Parry achieved another five-wicket haul, helping Lancashire secure a victory against Middlesex.
His unwavering loyalty to Lancashire has fueled his desire to excel, and he aims to conclude his career on a high note, making his dedication worthwhile.

Stephen David Parry's cricketing journey has been a testament to his talent, determination, and love for the sport.
His achievements and contributions to both Lancashire and England have solidified his place in the cricketing world, leaving a lasting legacy in the hearts of fans and the sport itself.
